Siak Sri Indrapura, October 2, 2026 — The Legal Division of the Siak Regency Regional Secretariat (Setda) has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening legal awareness among students. On Friday (October 2, 2026), the division held a legal dissemination event at SMKN 1 Mempura, focusing on the prevention of bullying, the dangers of promiscuity (casual sexual activity), and the mitigation of juvenile delinquency. This educational event was officially opened by Ms. Yulianti Sembiring, S.H., representing the Legal Division of the Siak Regency Regional Secretariat. In her remarks, she emphasized that the cultivation of a law-abiding character must begin during one's school years to shield adolescents from prevalent social dangers. "The school environment must be a safe and conducive place for learning. Through this dissemination, we want students to understand legal boundaries as well as the detrimental effects of bullying, juvenile delinquency, and promiscuous behavior—all of which can jeopardize their futures," stated Yulianti Sembiring. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the event featured two expert speakers from the Siak Regency Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Women and Child Protection (UPTD PPA): Ms. Revianti Hasibuan, S.H., and Ms. Iklima Sara Yulis, S.H., C.Med. During their presentations, the speakers from UPTD PPA thoroughly examined the legal, social, and psychological impacts of bullying—covering both direct bullying and cyberbullying on social media. Additionally, the material regarding the prevention of promiscuity and juvenile delinquency was presented in an engaging manner, highlighting the importance of self-protection, choosing healthy social circles, and understanding legal protections for minors. Ms. Iklima Sara Yulis, S.H., C.Med. The role of the Siak UPTD PPA (Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Women and Child Protection) was also highlighted, specifically regarding the provision of legal assistance, case handling, and mediation services for children in need of support or protection. SMKN 1 Mempura welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the attention shown by the Legal Division of the Siak Regional Secretariat and the Siak Regency UPTD PPA. The students participated enthusiastically throughout the event, including the discussion and Q&A sessions. Through this activity, it is hoped that SMKN 1 Mempura students will become agents of change who actively foster a bullying-free school environment, avoid risky social behaviors, and consistently uphold legal values and social norms.
